In recent months there is a much media hype in connection with the problem of globalisation that is ironically and inextricably linked with a national identity. Globalisation is very broaden idea that includes even problem of admission to the European Union. Many people are afraid that the common patterns and standards would kill their peculiar, own identity, connected with their country, tradition in which they grown up and culture which they appreciate and treat as a treasure and something very lasting. Globalisation is an obvious danger for these exceptional customs which stems from the countries history; and this is an obvious hazard that process of globalisation destroy the variety by one common way of thinking. That the variety would be vanished by one perception of surrounding world which based on marketing and easy commercialism . On the other hand, globalisation facilitate our lives and provide us kind of security that the common standards would be obeyed. Living in time of difficult choice we cant deny that globalisation has two sides - light and dark. Globalisation makes that economic development is faster and provide the economic revival, and ironically it could be used by governments to support national identity by means of donation and support for the own national organization, schools, theatres and museums. In these places tradition is preserved and it has still developed. By the way, very often national identity is using in advertisements of special national goods (in order) to make commercial success. To conclude, national identity is a priceless value that cant be destroyed and what is more, globalisation may only stresses on how important it is for our personality to preserve our national customs. There are limits which globalisation can't exceed. Idea of unity is too utopian.
